GrrrrrrMonday

How was everyones weekend?! I kind of feel like where the hell did the weekend go? It’s like I closed my eyes and 48 hours have passed, so I’m having a bit of difficulty accepting that it’s Monday again.

I have a lot to look forward to this week: doctors appointment Tuesday, birthday celebrations for Izzy on Thursday, TED2 on Friday, and of course the Fairfield half on Sunday! But before we get ahead of ourselves, I’m linking up with Erin for Weekend RecapTara for Weekend Update, and Katie for Marvelous Monday to tell you all about my weekend. In bullet points. Because it’s Monday. #GrrrrrMonday

That was a Ted reference. Watch the trailer. You’re welcome.

Friday:

  • Sushi. Delicious.
  • McConkey documentary on Netflix. Highly recommend.

Saturday:

  • Failed run attempt.
  • Lots of rainy day TV. Binge watching Blue Bloods at the moment and I’m obsessed.

Sunday:

  • Yoga. Because that’s what I do when I’m sad and can’t run. And it was raining. Bleh.
  • Delicious lunch with my parents to celebrate Father’s Day.
  • FINALLY got a jean jacket. And a chambray shirt. And a skirt… #HelpMeImPoor
  • Tasty dinner with BF and his family to continue the Father’s Day celebrations
  • True Detective Season 2 Premiere…

Running: Welp, by the time you’re reading this let’s hope I’ve had a somewhat successful run. After feeling far too inactive these past few days, I am hoping that my running will pick up again soon. I’m going back and forth on whether or not I need to notify the race director that I may not be able to effectively pace on Sunday. I am very nervous that I may let down my fellow runners if I am not having a “good day”. This is an ongoing decision….

That’s really all I have. I wish I was a bit more wordy, but it’s Monday so cut me some slack. Hope you are all having a great start to the week and thoroughly enjoyed your weekend! Catch you tomorrow with a rather EXCITING post if I do say so myself.

Did anyone else watch True Detective last night? Thoughts? Comments?

Who is seeing Ted2 this weekend?! I’m beyond exciting and plan on being there immediately after work.

What was the best part of your weekend?

  1. ugh I was so disappointed in True Detective, there were way too many things going on at one time for my brain to handle! The cast is too good, I hope they pull it together!

Sorry about your running girl, I know how hard that can be. But you got to do whats right for you!

    1. Thanks Kait : ) I’m really hoping next weeks episode will pick up… although part of me thinks nothing will ever be as good as the first season ! Let’s get together soon please!! xoxo

  2. Ah, so sorry you’re still not 100% 😦 I’m sure the director will understand if you can’t pace (and if he doesn’t, he’s an ass, let’s be real).

  3. Sorry to hear that running hasn’t been going so well, but at least you are getting some rest so hopefully you will be feeling better this week! But definitely still take care of yourself and don’t push yourself as a pacer if you’re not up for it!

  4. Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling the best. I do feel like the last few days and weekend flew by. I honestly have no idea where they went…but I feel like I never do LOL.

    1. Fact. Sometimes at work, when people ask me how my weekend was it takes me 5 minutes to answer because I cannot remember what I did for the life of me. Like a non-alcohol induced blackout. #RIPCollege

    1. Haha thank you! And I agree… every Monday I always think “here we go again” haha. Yes Ted2 will DEFINITELY help. The amount of times I’ve watched the trailer already… embarrassing.

  5. Sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well – hope you get back to feeling great asap!
I LOVE Bluebloods. After an entirely too busy Friday night/ all day Saturday – Sunday I had all my errands done by 9 so I could binge watch Netflix until I picked myself up to run at 5 or so (then went to the gym where I could watch on my kindle #slightlylesslazy)

  6. My weekend was nice..I got bronchitis and had to stay home while Dan and Selma went to visit his family. I liked being alone though and got a lot done (fun stuff like cross stitching and finishing my travel scrapbooks..when did I turn 80). Sometimes it’s nice to just have a relaxing weekend, and I enjoyed mine!

    Looking forward to tomorrow…what a cliffhanger 😉

  7. My husband and I just recorded the first season of True Detective, so I have yet to watch an episode. I hear it’s pretty amazing, so I’m looking forward to jumping in!

My favorite thing about Ted2 so far –> My mother-in-law called my husband and I the other evening and quoted a sentence from the preview she had seen on TV. It was hilarious. Can’t wait for the movie.

Best part of my weekend was getting outside with a couple of my girlfriends while my husband was out of town on the fishing trip.

    1. The first season was absolutely incredible. Definitely one of my favorite series. Love that you were able to be active outside this weekend!! I love that your MIL was quoting Ted… that’s absolutely awesome! Hope you have a fabulous Monday!!!

  8. I’m sorry to hear you’re running is feeling off – hopefully you feel better and back to normal soon!
Weekends totally fly by way too fast. I vote for a three day weekend every weekend.

  9. Ted 2 is coming out this weekend?! Such good news! And seriously, what is with the rain? Go away rain! Hope you feel better to get some runs in soon. If the race director doesn’t understand that you may not be able to pace….is he/she a director you really want to run for anyway? I like to think all us runners are really understanding.

  10. Rain all weekend can CERTAINLY cause a case of the Mondays 😦 Are there 2 pacers for your time group? If so, I’d say go head and do it. If you’re not up to par, there will be some else to bring the runners home. I do think you should say something though, because it’s only fair. It’s technically not your fault, but it could affect others and you know you’d be mad if a pacer didn’t get you across in time right?! Maybe it’s just me. It’s not like you’d be bailing bc you’d rather sleep in. Just my 2 cents- sorry if it wasn’t rainbows. Hope you were able to run today and things are looking up and you don’t even have to worry about it!

  11. I don’t want True Detective but my best friend and I are watching all of 7th Heaven (243 episodes!!) and we started two days ago. This might take us forever, but we’ve got time 🙂 The best part of my weekend was seeing my younger brother for the first time since he got back from China. He’s the same, I am thankful for that 🙂

  12. Hope you got to run today!! I really need to try sushi. I’m not very adventurous food-wise! And you will wear the heck out of that chambray shirt so #helpmeimpoor will become #chambrayforthewin!

  13. Don’t worry girl, the Monday Blues were definitely floating around today, but…tomorrow is a brand new day.

I’m sorry your running has still been bleh. My fingers are crossed that that will change soon. 🙂
