WIAW & A Blogging Survey

I feel so honored to be tagged in not one but TWO blog surveys! Since I’m not eating anything particularly cool, I decided since I might as well provide you with more information than you may have ever wanted to know about me… all at once. So get ready… it’s about to get weird.

Afterwards I’ll catch everyone up on WIAW (but really Tuesday) because I like following rules. And it is Wednesday after all : )

Thanks for the LinkUp Jenn!

First up, I was tagged in the Versatile Blog Survey by Amber at PBandPRs.

1. What is something people might be surprised to learn about you? Some random facts about me: I’m an only child, I pronounce “coconut” like co-co-nut, I cannot effectively ride a bicycle, and I am somewhat OCD clean. I love all Clorox products. And vacuuming. And folding laundry is one of my favorite things. I scrub my apartment top to bottom at least once a week.

2. Have you ever met someone famous? I was once kissed on the cheek by Ahmad Bradshaw. Melissa Joan Hart lives in my hometown, so I used to frequently see her/talk to her at the beach I worked at. I also had a celeb sighting at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia when Bradley Cooper walked through on his way to a press tour for Silver Linings Playbook. #LeSigh

3. What is something you hope will never come back in style? Cargo shorts. I just can’t.

4. What is one place on your travel must-see bucket list? I have a bunch of places I’d love to travel to and even some I’d like to go back to, but for now, let’s discuss new locations…
Domestically
: I’d love to get out to California and do some exploring (think San Fran, Napa, San Diego).. maybe run Big Sur
Internationally: My dream is to go on a two week vacation to Italy, Greece, and Croatia. I am trying my best to figure out how I can budget for this and make it happen within the next year or two.

5. Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life? Well this is an interesting question. I mean unrealistically, with no rhyme or reason for my answer, I’d say Blake Lively because #Duh. If I was going to answer with a more appropriate, “real life” persona, I’d have to say Chelsea Handler… and Chunk could be Kona. #WhoIsChewey?

6. Who is your favorite Disney Princess? Ariel because Prince Eric was hot.

7. What would you sing at karaoke night? I Love Rock n’ Roll, the Britney version obviously, or Pour Some Sugar On Me – Def Leppard. I like to keep it classy.

8. Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island? I could totally be stranded on a deserted island with my boyfriend. Assuming there was food, booze, shelter, and amenities. If we are talking a barebones, no hope of survival, kind of deserted island, I’d have to say my step-dad. The man has pockets and trinkets for days. #ApocalypseReady

9. What is your biggest pet peeve? I cannot stand when people are late. And when people are messy. #ImSoEasyGoing

10. What clothing item/accessory/shoes do you have way too many of in your closet? Can I answer this by saying everything? I have too many pairs of old running shoes (too many good timez/memz), and too many pairs of spandex and hoodies. I basically look like I work at Lulu Lemon and Nike. #MyUniform

That was fun! I must be an only child because I just realized I love talking about myself haha. Anywhozers, onto my eats…

Breakfast: Protein shake – Vanilla Vega protein, Banana, Almond Milk, Ice, Cinnamon, and Pumpkin Spice … dare I say it tasted delicious? Lunch: Everything vegetable under the sun. I sadly got about 2 bites into this deliciousness before I realized I couldn’t eat it for lunch today : ( Don’t worry – I stuck it back in the work fridge for later this week. Fingers Crossed!
So instead I dined on steel cut oats with a tablespoon of almond butter. And my coworker made Gwen’s (Gwyneth Paltrow for those of you who aren’t in the know), homemade granola. She gave me a sampling. Pretty good!

Dinner: Protein shake round dos. Whatever it worked. Refer picture from above… just a different glass.

So that’s that! I hope everyone has a FABULOUS Wednesday and remember – we’re half way to the weekend woohoo!

What was the best thing you ate this week?

Who would you want to be stuck on a deserted island with?

And what’s your biggest pet peeve? Please see above. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, I’ve already thought of ways to passively aggressively mention it.

  1. Best thing I ate this week has to be the massive ice cream sundae on Monday evening from Emack and Bolio’s! But I’m looking forward to dinner out this evening…one of my favorite seafood spots in NYC, Flex Mussels 🙂

Also, jealous you got within ten feet of the gorgeousness that is Bradley Cooper.

  2. In regards to the travel thing, have you ever checked out Groupon Getaways? They have super cheap trips that include airfare most of the time. I’ve gone on a trip to Budapest/Prague and to Costa Rica with them and it was great! Just a suggestion if you’re hoping to keep the price low 🙂

  3. I’ve been to Italy and highly recommend it!!! I hope you can go too. I wrote some post on it if you want some inspiration 🙂
My pet peeve is when people constantly complain about the same thing… but never do anything to either accept it or change it 🙂

    1. Oh my gosh… I had a friend who complained about wanting to leave her job for 8 MONTHS BEFORE SHE EVEN STARTED LOOKING FOR ALTERNATIVES. I’m totally with you there.

  4. Speaking of Blake, I’ve been binge watching Gossip Girl on Netflix #noshame. I never watched it when it first came out, so I just need to appease my inner high schooler. My biggest pet peeve is when people smack-eat. Eating with your mouth open is fine, but if you’re eating a sandwich and it sounds like you’re sucking down the last bit of a milkshake, you can leave, thanks.

    🙂 Happy hump day!

  5. We are so similar in so many ways. I love it. But I would love for you to come over and clean my apartment. I have pretty much given up on it because it feels dirty even when we clean it. In short, I need a cleaning lady, and I need to move.

  6. I am so with you on the late thing…unfortunately I’ve had to somewhat become ok with it because my bf is Puerto Rican…and yeah, they’re never on time for anything *sigh*. I guess he’s helped me to chill out a lot in that aspect but it definitely still bothers me sometimes!
The protein shake looks yummy!!! The best thing I ate this week so far…I made some pretty bangin fish tacos!

  7. I’m so with you about lateness, although I would amend it to say “chronically late”. Everyone is late sometimes, life happens. But people who are ALWAYS late, and know they’re always late but think it’s cute or that they “can’t help it” drive me batty. Like how hard is it to just get ready 5 minutes earlier if you know you’re always late? I think it’s really disrespectful of other people’s time, whether they intend it to be or not. But it also appears this is a cultural thing – in many other countries if you say dinner is at 8:00 it’s customary for people to start sauntering in at 9:30.

You would probably not like me very much though because I am kinda messy. 😦

  8. I really want to visit Croatia also! People who are late bother me, especially because I’m the type who tries to arrive early for thing, but it bothers me even more when an event starts late.

  9. The best thing I ate this week was a vegan breakfast sandwich #AllTheCheese. I would want to be stuck on a desert island with Ellen because then I can die happy #GirlCrush. My biggest pet peeve is people who take two parking spots.

  10. I’m such a dork! I could read these surveys for hours.

The best thing I ate all week, would have to be the salads I’ve been making for lunch. I can’t cook, but I can whip up a mean salad.

Don’t tell my boyfriend, but I’d have to say I’d want to be stuck on a deserted island with my dad. He would just be really good at all the deserted-islandness.

And, my biggest pet peeve is when people are too lazy to pit their shopping cart in the shopping cart return. Ugh! That irks me to my core. And don’t even get me started on the ones that leave their cart way too close to my baby. 😉

  11. I kind of wish I was OCD about cleanliness like you. I’m obsessively organized & neat…but I tend not to care about dust as much as I should.
Omg cargo shorts are hideous. & JORTS. I’m not sure jorts were ever really in style. But both need not exist ever again.
I can’t freaking STAND IT when people are late. So inconsiderate of your time when the waste it. Messy bugs me too. Being crazy neat and all 🙂 also when people lose things all the time. Maybe if you were neat & put things where they belonged, you wouldn’t lose them! #justsaying
